Lombardi extends capabilities of Synchroline with new modules
Lombardi Converting Machinery has extended the capabilities of its Synchroline flexo press in response to demand from narrow web converters to produce more complex and sophisticated labels.

An add-on to form booklet labels and a screen printing module have been introduced to allow new Synchroline configurations to meet the requirements of converters producing labels for the food packaging, cosmetics, personal care, wine and spirits, olive oil and luxury products markets.
Using the screen module from SPGPrints, Lombardi said enriched labels or value-added cartons can be produced, as well as the printing of Braille, directly in-line. The booklet label add-on uses electronic register control with the Synchroline’s proprietary software and brushless motors.
A fully equipped 10-color Synchroline flexo press with booklet forming and screen printing is currently under construction for a converter who required a universal machine with which to perform variable jobs for different applications, with quick job changeover and using a single machine without further investment, detailed Lombardi.
