Hubergroup to bring dual-cure UV flexo system to Loupe
iray ink platform covers paper, film and shrink sleeves from a single product at booth 505.
Hubergroup Print Solutions has confirmed it will present its iray dual-cure UV flexo ink system at Loupe Americas 2026 at booth 505, alongside its water-based, solvent-based and offset ink portfolios for label, flexible packaging and folding carton applications.
iray is a single product formulated to run on paper, film and shrink sleeves, curing with both conventional UV and LED-UV systems. The North American formulation uses a monomer and photo initiator package tailored to substrates, presses and regulatory requirements in the US market. An iray MGA global series variant is also available for food packaging applications, providing internationally active converters with consistent results across regions.
Also on show will be Hydro-X, a modular water-based ink mixing system for paper, cardboard, aluminum and plastic film, including water-based barrier coatings for oxygen, water and grease resistance in mono-material recyclable packaging structures. The solvent-based Gecko series and an expanded NC-free portfolio will also be presented, alongside the MGA Label offset ink range for in-mold label production and food packaging applications on substrates from 50 micron films to boards up to 1,000 g/m².
Vehicles for Hubergroup's narrow web products are manufactured in the US, with formulation support from R&D teams in Germany, Poland and Italy. Five regional technical service branches operate across the US alongside a Canadian service hub.
'Our customers don't ask for more products, they ask for fewer things that can go wrong,' said Clinton Melius, director of liquid inks North America at Hubergroup. 'Covering paper, film, and sleeves with one dual-cure system takes complexity out of the press room: one inventory, one training, one troubleshooting path.'
