MPI label implements multi-site mis

MPI Label Systems is to implement DiMS! web-based enterprise management software in its seven plants across the US in a bid to streamline its current operations and enable continued expansion.

Based in Sebring, Ohio, MPI produces pressure-sensitive, flexographic labels and labeling systems. With over 65 presses nationwide and multiple printing locations throughout the United States, MPI produces a variety of labels and specialty products for various industries.

‘In the search for an MIS system for our multi-plant environment, we were looking for a product to satisfy our needs both today and in the future,’ saysRandy Kocher, president, MPI. ‘Not only will DiMS! fulfill the requirement of a centralized database to integrate all our existing plants, but it will also be an invaluable tool as we grow and continue to expand our offerings. The flexibility of the system will better position us to serve our customers now - and five years from now,’ Kocher stated.

Citing Web-enablement as a critical factor in MPI’s selection process, Jeff Holbrook, IT Manager, MPI, added: ‘Providing our Sales team with the ability to log on to the system remotely and obtain real-time information about their accounts was of paramount importance. With DiMS! we will be able to coordinate and strengthen our sales efforts, in addition to increasing service levels to current customers,’ Holbrook added.
Starting with the company’s Ohio headquarters, MPI will implement DiMS!’ entire end-to-end solution, which covers CRM and estimating through shipping and invoicing. Upon completion, the implementation will be rolled out to MPI’s six satellite plants across the country.
