National Carton & Coating Company, a full-service box and packaging manufacturer located near Dayton, Ohio, is streamlining its processes, modernizing workflow and centralizing data through the implementation of an EFI Radius MIS/ERP software solution.

In operation for 30 years,National Carton serves customers across the United States and Canada ranging from small, privately owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies in industries such as pharmaceutical, automotive, hardware and bakery and has been eager to update their system capabilities in an effort to better serve customers and grow the business.

According to Edward Kapfhammer, director of finance at the company, ’EFI Radius is the best software solution for us to implement, since it’s very flexible and is tailored to our particular product niche, That is huge – we don’t have to force fit the system to meet our specific needs, and because of that, we expect to realize greater efficiencies.’

While implementation is just beginning, Kapfhammer expects the MIS/ERP software to enable the business to become much more streamlined, resulting in an overall increase in capacity. ‘Radius will change the way we do business, allowing us to offer value-added enhancements and increased throughput for our customers. Features like inventory management and shop floor data collection will enable us to make better decisions, in more of a real-time fashion,’ he explained. ‘From the shop floor to the CEO’s office, Radius will really change the entire company, and we’re excited to get the system in place.’

The EFI Radius solution is a powerful ERP/MIS designed to enable an end-to-end, intelligent and optimized management and production workflow for label, flexible packaging, converting and folding carton businesses. Offering a high degree of flexibility to manage the unique requirements of printing and packaging companies throughout all phases of the workflow, the software includes integrated solutions for sales estimating; production planning and scheduling; materials management; shop floor data collection; job and standard costing; time and attendance; and reporting and business intelligence.
