New Jetlaser Duoface from Raflatac
Raflatac’s have released a new Jetlaser Duoface that the company claims will mark a new era in manual A4 logistic labeling. ‘What makes Jetlaser Duoface special is that it’s exceptionally versatile yet it creates zero waste,’ commented Rafael Lopez, marketing manager at Raflatac.
A spokesperson for Raflatac said: ‘With two face layers, each acting as release liner for the other, the double-sided Jetlaser Duoface labelstock eliminates backing waste completely. For converters, Jetlaser Duoface doubles converting capacity, halves packaging and transport costs and saves on warehousing. For end-users this solution is as efficient as it is environmentally friendly. The linerless Jetlaser Duoface stores compactly, many more labels can be loaded into the printer and hand application is faster. It eliminates waste, mess and the costs associated with disposal.
‘The standardization of double-sided, or duplex, printing technology has made Jetlaser Duoface a viable and efficient A4 label option everywhere. Duoface labels can be laser imprinted on both sides simultaneously or bulk printed on one side with general labels such as ‘this side up’ or ‘fragile’ while the other is left blank for information on package content or the recipient’s address. An ideal choice for warehousing and packing lines, Jetlaser Duoface also enhances visibility when information is printed across two labels or when identical labels are separately applied for ease of viewing.’
For Nordland Papier, one of the largest manufacturers of wood-free coated and uncoated paper in Europe, using Duoface labels has meant better handling, improved time allocation and a reduction in material costs.
‘There are many advantages to using Duoface labels in our work process. The supply case can hold more labels, for example, so less time is required to refill it. There’s also no need for a truck driver to come and dispose of the backing paper and this reduces our waste disposal costs,’ said Johann Seitz, manager of Cut Size and Folio Packaging within the finishing department at Nordland Papier.
At Nordland Papier the product is used on a pallet line and the experience gained with the company’s new packing unit stickers has been very good both in the standard warehouse and on the cut-size line.
‘The print quality is very good and applying the labels is trouble-free both on cooled and heated films. We can certainly recommend using Duoface to any warehouse where packages need two labels. Our wholesaler customers have also been very satisfied,’ Seitz confirmed.
