AccuWeb launches PDG-AP web guide assembly

AccuWeb, a Madison, Wisconsin, USA-based manufacturer of electronic edge detection and guide systems, has launched its AccuGuide PDG-AP series positive displacement web guide, which can be designed into a two, three, or four system configuration to handle multiple webs when collating for embossing, sheeting, or slitting processes.
The web guide systems are integrated with two structural steel uprights that are said to make installation easy and efficient. In addition, entry and exit idler rollers are supplied to provide the necessary lead in and lead out distances to ensure proper web guide functionality. All PDG-AP guide systems are supplied with AccuWeb’s edge detectors which automatically compensate for dust, changes in temperature and humidity, as well as web flutter and pass line variances.
Web guide point adjustment is made with a micrometer adjust bracket mounted on the PDG-AP series guide which precisely positions the edge detector(s). Customers can also upgrade to wide array detectors and take advantage of electronically adjusting the guide through a remote adjustment station or any PLC field bus like Profibus, DeviceNet, Ethernet, Control Net, or Modbus Plus.
