AstroNova reveals new printers at Labelexpo Europe

AstroNova’s new 5-color QL-300 label printer

Two new printers, including what is claimed to be the first 5-color desktop device, will be featured this year’s edition of Labelexpo Europe 2019 along with other innovations in AstroNova’s booth.

'Our color label printers and specialty-printing systems are engineered to deliver high-quality performance and cost-efficiency for customers,’ said AstroNova’s president and CEO Greg Woods. ‘Our proprietary inks, media and supplies enable customers to bring their short- and medium-run label printing needs into their facilities for faster response, increased efficiencies and improved inventory management. Customers eliminate the waste of unused labels while achieving a brilliant color quality that rivals professional printers – at a fraction of the cost.’

Built on AstroNova’s Kiaroplatform, the QL-120X has been developed as a flexible and efficient device for on-demand digital color label printing featuring economical, high-capacity ink cartridges and dye-based inks.

The second model debuting in Brussels is the QL-300, claimed to be the world’s first 5-color, toner-based table-top printer designed specifically for production label printing. The addition of white to the traditional cyan, magenta, yellow and black toner is expected to expand the creative labeling and design options.

‘With this broad product line, we now have a solution for nearly every labeling application,’ added Woods. ‘Since introducing the first on-site digital color label printer over 25 years ago, AstroNova’s philosophy has been to provide complete labeling solutions that combine industry-leading printer platforms with integrated software, supplies, and training, as well as technical and consultation support to help our customers strengthen their competitive advantage in the market.’

Labelexpo Europe 2019 visitors will be able to see the new systems at AstroNova’s stand 9C05.
