Atlantic Zeiser showed its Gamma 70 and new Gamma 140 inkjet label printing units at Labelexpo Americas 2010 in Chicago. Both devices are CMYK units based on Xaar 1001 heads. The Gamma 70, launched last year, has a 70.5mm (2.78in) print width, while the new Gamma 140 can handle widths double that size.

The Gamma 70 and 140 can be installed as a stand-alone system or integrated into existing analog web label presses. Both models are available in a standard version, for wet-on-wet printing in the pattern application process, and a premium version, for both pinning and wet-on-wet use for sharp texts, pictures, barcodes and other fine details. Atlantic Zeiser also offers its own SmartCure LED UV curing modules.

Tom Coco, president of Atlantic Zeiser USA, said: The attendance of Labelexpo Americas 2010 exceeded the previous edition by the end of day two of the show. Many visitors to the Atlantic Zeiser booth were impressed by the AZ`s innovation and the wide range of inkjet printers and capabilities that were exhibited and being demonstrated on various substrates.’

The newest Atlantic Zeiser printer, the Delta 105 (4.1” width), available for both water-based and UV curable ink, was also on display.
