Codimag integrates Aniflo into digital workflow

During Labelexpo Europe, Codimag will partner with EskoArtwork, Agfa, Toray and 5/7 Etiquettes to demonstrate live how its Aniflo technology integrates into a digital workflow. The result is claimed to be better control over the printing results, higher efficiency and cost effectiveness.
With Aniflo, Codimag allows printers to standardize and control their process by eliminating variables, such as ink water balance, ink key settings, or rollers settings. With the Aniflo process, an anilox provides a controlled and constant ink flow to the form roller. Once the press calibration is done, it cannot be jeopardized by press variables and it can be easily integrated in a digital flow. Color and print results are claimed to be 100 percent predictable resulting in reduced set-up time and waste.
With a very short inking and a responsive and precise temperature adjustment on the anilox, density adjustment is visible on the print within a few revolutions – which also results in set-up time and waste reduction.
Codimag says that a printer can benefit from a 30 percent time saving and a 60 percent waste reduction compared to a conventional solution, while maintaining offset quality, plate cost and standardization.
