Color-Logic launches flexo version of metallic printing system

Color-Logic has released a flexographic version of its Process Metallic Printing System. Originally available only for offset lithography, the system enables licensed flexographic printers to produce metallic effects on conventional flexographic presses running pressure sensitive stock, shrink wrap plastic, foils, folding cartons or ordinary paper.
Mark Geeves, Color-Logic’s director of sales and marketing, commented: ‘The flexographic version of our popular metallic color printing system has undergone extensive testing by several flexographic label printers and has produced truly outstanding results. The flexographic Color-Logic process can be used on any conventional flexographic press – including those manufactured by Comco, Gallus, Mark Andy, MPS Systems, Nilpeter and Omet. On flexographic presses, as many as 250 Color-Logic metallic hues, plus special effects, may be printed. The proprietary Color-Logic software produces separations that may be used with either metallic ink or metallic substrates.’
