Corotec has launched its Uni-Dyne line of surface treating products for digital printing, which includes in-line corona treaters as well as sheet-fed treating systems. Uni-Dyne corona treating systems solve primer, varnish, and over-laminate adhesion problems on a wide variety of materials, and are custom-designed for easy installation and operation on virtually any priming or finishing equipment.

Bruce Stobbe, Corotec president, commented: ‘Getting good primer adhesion to the substrate surface is a must in digital printing applications, as is obtaining proper adhesion of varnish over-coatings and other over-laminates to the printed surface. Our Uni-Dyne corona treating systems solve all of these problems, and they are designed with all of the specifics of the particular digital printing application in mind.’

According to Stobbe, these specifics include analyzing each application and other customer requirements including installation, operator access, and accessibility for routine maintenance. ‘Our goal is to provide a treating system that is designed from the ground up for the specific machine it will mount to and the materials it will be processing,’ said Stobbe. Each Corotec system is fully tested before shipment to ensure it meets all customer requirements.

The Uni-Dyne treating systems can be used on virtually any digital printing application, including flexible or rigid stock, plastic key cards, adhesive labels, and many others in both web and sheet-fed formats.

Uni-Dyne systems are available on a ‘try before you buy’ basis, while Corotec offers their customers the opportunity to evaluate its products or accessories in their plant, on their application, and with their materials.
