Delo Industrial Adhesives has introduced a further member of the DeloLux 80 family – a UV-LED curing lamp with a shorter wavelength of 365 nm.

The LED curing lamp reportedly features a high and stable output intensity due to integrated liquid cooling. This system cools down the LED with maximum efficiency and a top-level power density can be maintained for a duration of tens of thousands of operating hours. Even under full load during permanent operation, the service life (=illuminated time) is far in excess of 20,000 hours, according to the company. This results in an effective service life of more than 50,000 hours as the irradiation time of the lamp normally is only a fraction of the total cycle time of the application.

Another advantage of the unique liquid cooling is that the lamp head is kept very compact and is therefore only insignificantly larger than the light guide itself. The DeloLux 80 can therefore be easily integrated into any system. As all other lamps of the DeloLux 80 family, the UV version can also be controlled and monitored by means of Delounipro or SPS without any problems.

The LEDs offer advantages over traditional discharge lamps: their longevity reduces the downtimes of production plants while simultaneously reducing maintenance and spare part costs to a minimum. DeloLux 80 is suited for applications with short cycle times, as for example in microelectronics, as it can be switched at a user-defined pulse. Up to now the LED curing lamp was available with wavelengths of 405 nm and 460 nm. With the extension to the UVA wavelength range of 365 nm Delo now offers the complete breadth of LED lamp systems for all light and UV-curing adhesives.
