E + L develops hazing module for Nyscan inspection

Erhardt + Leimer has developed a hazing module for its Nyscan inspection system to detect extremely low contrast or hazing defects.

‘This particular print problem has traditionally been difficult to detect and distinguish from the general background of the printed image, but now with the aid of this specific additional algorithm detection is achieved even at high speed,’ said the company in a statement. The module’s tolerances are easy to set up and control via sliders in a “pop-up” graphical interface, in keeping with the ease of use philosophy of the Nyscan product range.’
