EskoArtwork releases Automation Engine 10.1 and opens new UK facility

Automation Engine 10.1 is EskoArtwork’s new version of its prepress workflow software, designed for packaging converters who are heavily engaged in streamlining internal workflows, integrating business systems, consolidating data and diversifying value-add services. The company claims Automation Engine 10.1 offers more powerful automation and considerable productivity improvements so that pre-production files are processed more quickly.
Leading French packaging printer, Cartonnages Larré, says it has increased its prepress efficiency since implementing Automation Engine 10, and has been beta testing version 10.1, which it claims has reduced job ticket templates from 20 to only two, and has simplified operations.
‘We have increased throughput and improved customer service,’ said general manager Hugues Larré. ‘Implementing Automation Engine has allowed us to keep the upper hand and maintain a high level of customer loyalty. The benefits have all been achieved without increasing staff numbers, and we are more competitive.
New UK Offices
Carsten Knudsen, EskoArtwork's CEO, officially opened the company’s new UK offices recently, detailing the company’s current direction, following its change of ownership in January, and outlining new developments in the run up to drupa 2012.
These include a new training program designed for customers to improve their working knowledge of all EskoArtwork solutions, and some third party software. Lasting between one and five days, the seminars will cover subjects targeted at customer requirements.
Paul Bates, EskoArtwork regional business manager UK and Eire, commented: ‘Markets and end user requirements change and our customers need to be able to cope with these demands. They use our products day-in and day-out, but may not be utilizing their full capabilities or maximizing the return on their investment. The training program will help them get the most out of our software.’
