Flint launches Lithocure Premium

Flint Group is launching its new generation of UV offset inks, called Lithocure Premium, in Europe and Asia, and Lithokett in North America, where the formulation is slightly different to reflect local requirements.  The new inks are claimed to offer new levels of print and press performance across most substrates for narrow web applications. 
 
‘Offset printing is a complex balance of several parameters,’ explained Par Olsson, product manager Flint Group Narrow Web.  ‘Printers need stability at high speed to maintain quality and our new inks offer robust, reliable and high performance results without changing other press or printing parameters.’
 
Flint Group received positive feedback during beta testing at printers around the world, with comments including: ‘Improved ink duct flow’, ‘Stable ink density at various press speeds’, and ‘Excellent dot gain stability across shades’.
 
The new Lithocure Premium and Lithokett system is designed to be used in narrow web UV rotary offset systems but can also be used in UV rotary letterpress systems. Inks are available in the process colors, Pantone basic shades, high resistance colors, and opaque white.
