Karlville Development has launched a steamer shrink tunnel, which has a dual chamber design that operates at high energy efficiency.

The inner design of the steamer makes it possible for the user to adjust internal pipes in and out, to allow the steam to shrink the areas on the container with the highest shrink requirements. The steamer’s dual chamber also allows consistent high temperature to be reached with minimum power.

The steamer tunnel is able to process up to 150 containers per minute, depending on the containers’ shape, size and sleeve material. It comes with three meters of conveyor and is configured with a gear motor with variable speed control.

‘The steamer innovation allows small to medium sized end users a reasonable investment without the complexities and cost of installing a stand alone steam boiler, because its installation only requires having energy and water utilities,’ said the company in a statement.
