Lake Image's Discovery Revolution monitors QR code integrity

Lake Image Systems, a supplier of vision control and verification systems, ensures QR code integrity with its new Discovery Revolution print quality inspection system. The software, which is capable of inspection of continuous webs printing at speeds in excess of 1,000 feet per minute, may also be implemented on sheet-fed presses. The company will demonstrate Discovery Revolution on stand 5620 at Labelexpo Americas 2010, as well as at Graph Expo on October 3-6.   

Lake Image Systems’ vice president Pat Hoskins said: ‘Discovery Revolution ensures that every QR code printed is legible and accurate, and will quickly access the proper website when a QR code is read. Inaccurate QR codes are flagged for removal or further inspection. Lake Image Systems’ Discovery Revolution can verify high resolution color or black and white images such as QR codes in applications such as pharmaceutical, medical, and food packaging printing, where accuracy and image consistency must be demonstrable to print customers, as well as in jobs with less rigorous quality requirements.’
