Michelman releases water-based primer

For use as a topcoat, the primer is chemical resistant and said to improve adhesion of a variety of inks including UV cured inks. These qualities make it suitable for packaging and labels exposed to harsh environments such as shampoo bottle applications.

Michem Flex R1930 can be applied using gravure, flexo and other coating methods. It can be used at a low coat weight – from 0.5gsm dry- and dries clear.
