Pantec introduces Swift foil saving system

Pantec has launched Swift, a new foil saver for rotary foiling, at Labelexpo Americas 2012. It is said to create high additional profits on foil jobs and ‘fly’ along the press’ rail if required for a job change. It is available for most of the leading printing machines.

Swift has been designed for fast changeover and developed with specialist printers in the health and beauty sector to meet requirements of small orders and versatility. It is based on Pantec's vacuum saving technology, pSave, which is claimed to achieve extremely high frequencies, allowing the press to run at typical health and beauty label printing speeds.

Health and beauty labeling specialists running multiple shifts have profit potentials of hundreds of thousands of euros per year, says the company, as they can profit from foil saving with hot foil and reducing foil change stops. Foil saving, with the resulting fewer less line stops, compensates not only the tooling cost, but creates additional profits on repeat jobs.
