Rotometal, a producer of magnetic and print cylinders for printing machines, has introduced aluminum magnetic cylinders.

According to Rotometal, these lightweight cylinders have been designed with customer expectations in mind, offering an easier-to-assemble product without compromising stability and safety during operation.

Made of aluminium alloy, these magnetic cylinders offer better product quality, simpler storage and easier assembly and disassembly.

The cylinder body is constructed of corrosion-resistant hard aluminium, ensuring extended service life due to its raceways and axles being hardened to over 62 ± 2HRC. Precise workmanship ensures an axial runout accuracy of -0.01mm and a cylinder gap of 0.003mm.

The use of special ferrite magnets in these cylinders results in high die adhesion, with the option to use neodymium magnets for increased attraction strength.

Furthermore, the auxiliary line on the cylinder body facilitates die assembly, and pins can be used for positioning the die. The multi-stage production process eliminates glue emergence issues, and cylinder regeneration is possible.

One of the main benefits of the magnetic cylinders is the reduced weight, which leads to lower transport costs and energy consumption, providing significant savings for customers.

Additionally, customers can choose from standard or hardened gears as an optional feature.

Rotometal exports 80 percent of its production worldwide, including Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
