Spartanics releases new system

Laser converting manufacturer Spartanics has developed the Roll-to-Part laser die-cutting system, designed with the need for more efficient methods of label extraction within the growing label, sticker and decal industry in mind.

The system is ideally suited for label converters who need to extract through cut parts and labels.

The Spartanics Roll-to-Part laser die-cutting system is integrated with an extraction device that fully detaches labels and parts from the web and advances the finished products away from the extraction assembly on a conveyor belt. In addition to the 400W laser, label converters are able to choose from a list of desired label converting options, such as a dual laser die-cutting option, full and semi-rotary units, knife slitting components, lamination, UV coating and more.

Equipped with Spartanics Smart Software technology, the system is able to handle multiple jobs in a single roll with no need for manual job changeovers. The machine can easily be converted from a roll-to-part system that extracts finished labels to a standard roll-to-roll finishing system within minutes.

‘Spartanics has been manufacturing part extraction devices for a variety of our converting machines for many years,’ said Mike Bacon, vice president of sales and marketing at Spartanics. ‘We believe this new feature will open up opportunities for customers interested in automating their part removal process by incorporating the design into our standard roll-to-roll laser die cutting systems.’
