Technicote unveils Sub Zero adhesive

Freezing temperatures often create some of the most demanding challenges for label adhesives. Many general-purpose adhesives will not offer sufficient adhesion to products that have been frozen during the packaging process.

Technicote’s new product is a hot melt adhesive specifically created to face the stress of frozen storage and shipping environments. It is an aggressive rubber-based adhesive designed to work in challenging freezer applications. It offers high initial tack and ultimate adhesion when applied to a variety of packages in typically demanding freezer temperatures as low as -10°. It is also compliant with FDA regulation for indirect food contact.

‘Sub Zero not only provides our customers a versatile adhesive working on substrates including corrugated, rough surfaces and packages exposed to frost, the Sub Zero adhesive can be combined with a large number of facestocks and liners to provide the perfect solution to customers labeling needs. We are in the business of providing solutions and feel the addition of Sub Zero is a great fit for Technicote,’ said Ed Klene, marketing director at Technicote.
