UPM Raflatac launches lightweight clear film for labeling rigid containers

Part of its PP Lite portfolio, PP Clear FTC Lite contains nine percent less raw material than conventional clear PP label materials.

PP Clear FTC Lite can be used in a variety of applications in the beverage, food and home and personal care segments including a ‘no-label look’ on rigid containers with smooth surfaces. PP Clear FTC Lite complies with EU food safety regulations.

The film’s characteristics allow more labels per reel and helps to optimize raw material use, as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water consumption, and waste.

UPM Raflatac said this translates into lower packaging and transportation costs, as well as increased storage capacity of both raw materials and finished stock.
