Weigang unveils offset and flexo press advancements

Both machines come equipped with new functions including in-line flatbed embossing and hot stamping.

The ZX offset machine on show includes five offset printing units, rotary hot stamping, flexo varnishing, flat screen, flatbed embossing / hot-stamping and die-cutting. It is particularly suited to wine label printing.

‘Weigang launched its first ZX series offset presses in March 2008. Now more than 1,200 are installed all over the world,’ said Spring Xu, international sales manager of Weigang.

The ZJR flexo press is fully servo-controlled by Rexroth-Bosch, standard with water chiller and latest sleeve technology. It can print 12 micron PET to 350gsm cartons, including IML and shrink sleeves.

Since its launch in December 2015, more than 120 Weigang ZJR flexo presses have been installed.

‘Now 30 percent of our products are sold into overseas markets. Our clients are from over 80 countries, and we have established agents in more than 17 countries,’ Spring Xu told L&L. ‘This is our sixth time exhibiting at Labelexpo Europe. We hope to attract more clients.’
