Overnight Labels president among judges of Phoenix Challenge Foundation Competition

The Phoenix Challenge Foundation was established in 1998 to promote the growth of the flexographic printing process in the educational system throughout North America. The organization encourages youth to explore career opportunities in the flexographic industry and holds annual competitions to honor students that are studying in the field. This year the college level competition will take place at the Flexographic Technical Association's Annual Forum, which is being held in Dallas, Texas from April 27th-30th.
Don Earl, president and owner of Overnight Labels, was recruited by industry veteran Wayne Fortenberry to join the judging team for the upcoming competition. Earl remarked, ‘I am very pleased to participate in this worthy cause. The Phoenix Challenge Foundation's college level flexo competition is an event which gives added motivation and incentive to young people who are seriously considering a career in our wonderful industry.’
The honor of being chosen to judge the competition places Don Earl (Overnight Labels) at the top of his field along with the five other members of the judging team, which includes Heather Buchholz (Sun Chemical), John Hite (Bryce), Kevin Smith (SoBe Beverages), Lisa Frazier (PepsiCo Beverages and Foods North America), and Steve Olberding (Phototype).
Established in 1987, Overnight Labels is a manufacturer specializing in a variety of packaging options including labels, shrink sleeves, neck bands, and flexible packaging. Last year the company was honored with awards from the Flexographic Technical Association, Print Solutions Magazine, and the International Association of Print House Craftsmen for print excellence.
