Russ Woods has joined Bunting Magnetics as a territory manager for the company’s printing products group and flexible die division.

‘Russ gives us a tremendous amount of experience with his background,’ stated Mike Wilks, general manager for the flexible die division at Bunting. ‘We started our flexible die operation last year and we needed someone with the right skill level and industry knowledge to enhance our sales capabilities quickly. Russ knows the tag and label industry well, understands the intricate nature of flexible dies and has hands on experience with magnetic cylinders, for which Bunting is well known.’

Woods brings over 25 years of expertise in the printing industry. This includes technical support, operational management and outside sales positions. He served in technical sales roles with Webtron Corporation, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and The Rotometrics Group, based in St Louis, Missouri. Within the label industry, Woods held management positions with Standard Packaging & Printing Corporation, based in Mt Gilead, North Carolina, and Monarch Color Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to joining Bunting, Woods was in outside sales for Gerhardt USA, based in Dallastown, Pennsylvania.

As territory manager for Bunting, Woods will be responsible for the sales of the company’s magnetic printing cylinders, including the X-treme Series die-cutting cylinders product line. He will also handle the sales of a new flexible die product line. The area that Woods will cover includes all the states west of the Mississippi river.

Bunting’s new flexible die facility and equipment allows the production of all types of flexible dies from simple designs to intricate die patterns. Also, Bunting can produce stamp dies that are machine sharpened and chemically hardened. All of the state-of-the-art equipment has been designed to manufacture dies in widths up to 30 inches.
