Michelman appoints India country manager

Michelman has appointed Manoj Deorukhkar as India country manager, a newly created position said to be a key development in the company’s plan to introduce its portfolio to the market.

Deorukhkar will oversee all of the company’s business units within the country: paper and corrugated, flexible packaging, chemical specialties and fibers and composites.

Based in Michelman’s Mumbai office, Deorukhka will be an integral part of Michelman’s Asia Pacific leadership team. His initial responsibilities will include supporting the introduction of Michelman products and crafting a strategic plan to best serve customers and prospects in India.

He has over 25 years of chemical and coatings industry experience, most recently with Lubrizol Advanced Materials where he served as associate head of South Asia operations. Previosuly, Deorukhkar was industry sales manager at Dow Corning. 

Deorukhkar holds a Bachelor of science degree in chemistry from the University of Mumbai, and a degree in business management from Brilliant’s School of Management located in Chennai, India.
