RotoMetrics appoints Asia GM

- Pullen to lead sales and business development throughout Asia
- Responsible for Thailand manufacturing operations
Rotary tooling specialist RotoMetrics has appointed Shaun Pullen to the new role of general manager of RotoMetrics Asia, where he will have responsibility for the firm’s Thailand manufacturing operations as well as sales and business development throughout Asia.
RotoMetrics said the appointment comes after 30 months of scaling-up of its operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
The company said Pullen has been instrumental in leading this start-up effort taking a "green field" site to a facility that now supplies the majority of customers in Asia with 24-hour turnaround delivery.
Pullen will report directly to Robert Spiller, the company’s president and chief executive officer.
Experience
Prior to joining RotoMetrics, he served for 16 years as regional sales manager with JM Heaford, a producer of flexo mounting systems and specialist flexo and gravure ink equipment. Prior to this, he worked for the UK agent of Mark Andy as a commissioning engineer installing narrow web printing and converting systems.
Pullen has been living in Thailand and networking in Asia for over 11 years gaining firsthand experience in local languages, customs and business etiquette. He has a technical background in mechanical engineering originally specializing in turbine power generation then moving into heat treatment and metallurgy.
