Pre-press Workshop

All Printing Resources, Inc. – Glendale Heights, Illinois has announced a new hands-on workshop entitled 'Pre-press Design Considerations for Flexography'.

The course is designed for anyone that wants to gain knowledge required to design, conduct, and implement flexo press profiling, or just improve the ability of jobs to run faster, cleaner and more profitable on a flexo press. The first workshop is scheduled for June 25th, 26th and 27th, at The APR Technical Training Center, Glendale Heights, IL.

Topics to be covered are, why flexo needs special attention from a design perspective. The importance of color; color theory for process screens. Adobe PhotoShop features will include scanning, editing an image and applying an ICC profile. Adobe Illustrator instruction will involve importing PhotoShop files, working with vignettes, type and typography and targeted output.

Participants will learn Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator applications. Importing and exporting flexographic files, digital proofing devices and output of film for flexographic plates will be discussed.

The hands-on portion of the workshop will be ideal for creating your company specific profiled jobs Instructors are Catherine Haynes, APR’s Flexographic Pre-press Specialist, and Cher Jolliff, an electronic pre-press specialist, trainer and Certified Macintosh Trainer. The workshop is limited to ten participants.
