Record investment at CRP

CRP Print & Packaging, one of Europe’s leading independent decorative print and packaging groups, celebrated its recent £3.5m investment program by cutting the ribbon on its new KBA Rapida 162a 6-colour large format press.
The investment, which is the largest in the company’s history, underpins CRP’s position as a market leader in the design and manufacture of decorative high quality packaging for brand owners. In addition to the high specification KBA press the new facility houses CRP’s new design studio – pre-press hub for the entire group – and a dedicated CTP suite featuring new Kodak platesetting systems.
Eddie Fellows, managing director of CRP commented: ‘We have the most modern litho factory of its kind in the UK to allow us to stay ahead of the competition by offering our customers the best in class print finishes.’
Responding for KBA UK, managing director Christian Knapp added: ‘CRP’s new facility is specified to deliver the very best quality in the most competitive way on the profile of work in which it has established itself as a market leader.’
With a £20m turnover, CRP Group counts Constellation, P&G, and Kraft Foods among its clientele. It’s pre-printing business was the first in Europe to attain FSC and PEFC accreditation and its production team, which already operates to ISO9001, will work with KBA and pre-press partner Kodak to achieve the ISO 12647-2 colour consistency standard. It has received the coveted European and U.K POPAI awards in each of the last two years.
