Südpack inaugurates new production plant in Kłobuck, Poland
Südpack has expanded its manufacturing site in Kłobuck, Poland, with a new plant that adds 1000 sqm to the site and will strengthen the group’s position in eastern Europe.

Several new machines for printing, laminating and roll cutting are currently being brought on line. ‘The new plant satisfies all criteria for modern, efficient production,’ stated Achim Herter, managing director of Südpack Kłobuck. ‘This means we can offer our customers even better service with an excellent price-performance ratio, and are well-prepared for the future.’
Südpack Kłobuck, formerly Bahpol as reported here, has been part of Südpack Verpackungen for about a year.
At the opening of the new production plant, which was attended by a host of local dignitaries including Jerzy Zakrzewksi, mayor of Kłobuck, Johannes Remmele, managing partner of the Südpack Group, praised the rapid and successful integration of the Polish location into the corporate group
‘After just a year, with its particular expertise in the field of flexographic printing and finishing for films, Südpack Kłobuck has become an important pillar of our business, as reflected in the rapid, double-digit increase in turnover. We, the Remmele/Grimbacher family, would like to whole-heartedly thank all the employees and managers at Südpack Kłobuck for making the transition and expansion over the past year such a success, and for the responsibilities they have shouldered.’
Since being acquired by Südpack, more than 20 new positions have been added to the 100 jobs already in place at the Kłobuck location, with Südpack investing in staff training and encouraging new talent, such as with partnerships with schools in Kłobuck and Częstochowa.
‘We still have big plans here,’ added Remmele. ‘The East European market is very important for Südpack, and with Kłobuck as a base it’s one we can serve quickly and locally. Accordingly, we will continue to invest in expanding our production capacities. The new production plant marks an important first step.’
