Brands to speak at UAE flexible packaging conference

The fifth edition of the Flexible Packaging Middle East conference will take place in early December, drawing together brands and suppliers to discuss opportunities in the region’s flexible packaging market.
Event organizer AMI said the Middle East region is growing at a rate of more than 15 percent each year with all major application areas advancing. In particular the growth of sophisticated packaging converter markets are giving companies the opportunity to participate in added value areas where profits are greatest.
Taking place across December 9-11 at the Sofitel Hotel in Abu Dhabi, AMI’s Flexible Packaging Middle East conference will feature speakers from various segments of the flexible packaging market addressing numerous topics.
The speaker program spans two days of the three-day conference, with December 10 having a heavy focus on material innovation, touching on metallocene polyethylene resins, nanotechnology in biopolymers and the use of polybutene-1, with further sessions on trends, innovation and load stability.
The morning of December 11 will follow a similar style to the previous day, with presentations on blown film production output thickness measurement and new developments in multi-layer cast films.
The conference will conclude with a series of business-orientated presentations from the Constantia Flexibles, Manucor, Johnson & Johnson and Mars.
