Cosmo unveils masterbatch portfolio

Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has launched an expanded range of high-performance masterbatches, introducing two new product lines targeting flexible packaging and polymer processing markets.

The portfolio comprises CosmoWhite, a range of white masterbatches for polypropylene and polyethylene developed with high concentrations of titanium dioxide, offering opacity, brightness, UV protection and thermal stability for applications including BOPP films, blown films, extrusion coating and injection moulding. The second line, CosmoAdd, is a range of additive masterbatches engineered to enhance processing efficiency and product durability in BOPP, CPP and blown film applications, encompassing cavitating agents, antiblock additives, antistatic and slip additives, polymer processing aids, antioxidants, clarifiers and matt compounds.

The launch aligns with Cosmo First's strategy of expanding its specialty chemicals vertical, which was initiated in FY21 and operates alongside its core specialty films business. Cosmo Speciality Chemicals says it backs the new portfolio with R&D capabilities, advanced technology and sustainable manufacturing practices.
