The European Carton Makers Association (ECMA) will look to pinpoint opportunities for growth when it stages its next congress in Croatia on September 18-20.

Taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, this year’s congress comes under the theme “The Search for Growth”, with a working program of speakers to explore growth, to raise and secure quality levels, and inform on how to build and continue a profitable business.

The global sourcing of fiber board will be presented by Helmut Gruber from Roxcell, and the influence of “Brussels” on growth will be tackled by Kieran O’Keeffe of Interel.

Global brand owner Nestlé will present its vision on quality, with Paul Pickard, its head of procurement, presenting on strategic issues, and Rachid Gamal, head of global packaging performance, delivering a technical perspective.

Developments in the FCMG market and retail will be covered by Ed Garner, communications director at Kantar Worldpanel, and David Bosshart, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Gottlieb Institute.

The program will also include an introduction to Croatia, which is joining the EU on July 1, from associate professor Fedja Vukić from the University of Zagreb.
