Entries open for Alufoil Trophy 2014

The European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA) has made a call for entries to the Alufoil Trophy 2014.

EAFA said the Alufoil Trophy 2014 offers companies the chance to enter and place the spotlight on their latest innovations and technologies using alufoil and alu closures.

There are five categories for entries in 2014: marketing and design, consumer convenience, resource efficiency, product preservation and technical innovation.

The competition is now open, with the deadline for entries on November 29.

EAFA said recognition with the award of an Alufoil Trophy is one of the highest honors available to companies operating in the field of aluminum foil and closures.

In addition, the 2014 winners will be featured at Interpack, the world’s largest packaging exhibition, in Düsseldorf, Germany next May.

EAFA communication director Guido Aufdemkamp said: ‘The Alufoil Trophy 2014, which coincides with Interpack, is a special opportunity for companies to bring worldwide attention to their latest ideas and products. We look forward to an exciting and hotly contested competition.’
