Web handling seminar

US-based company Seminars for Engineers will be holding a two-day event in Chicago on October 19/20. The concept is to provide the principles and day-to-day knowhow of web handling, and combine the theory with the practical.
Delegates will be instructed on how to analyze existing problems and briefed on how to specify new equipment to ensure consistent performance. Topics covered will included tension control, roller choices, machine alignment, and web defects such as roping, telescoping, and staring. Tuition with be theory based but with basic rules and practices outlined, and an examination of the laws of physics involved.
