Saica acquires FCC recovery business

The seal adds seven plants across central, northern and western Spain.

The Saica Group has acquired the paper and corrugated board recovery business of FCC Ámbito, a subsidiary of FCC enviro, expanding its recovery network across Madrid and the north and west of Spain through its waste management division, Saica Natur.

The acquired business operates seven plants in Madrid, Cáceres, Valladolid, Asturias, Vizcaya, León and Toledo, employs more than 150 people and generated a turnover of 33 million EUR in 2024. The main activity consists of recovering paper and cardboard and other non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste.

Following the acquisition, Saica Natur now operates 47 plants, with 36 in Spain and the remainder in France, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Poland. The business unit's total workforce has grown to over 1,700 employees.
