Schreiner Group has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest initiative for corporate responsibility and sustainable development, while simultaneously becoming a member of the UN Global Compact Netzwerk Deutschland, an alliance of organizations dedicated to promoting sustainable company management.

The company's participation confirms its commitment to the initiative's ten principles covering human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. As a participant, Schreiner Group will actively implement United Nations principles and issue information about progress in a Communication on Progress report, including actions to reduce emissions, ensure fair working conditions and maintain ethical business standards along the supply chain.

'For us, sustainability is not a trend but a key component of our corporate culture,' stated Roland Schreiner, president and CEO of Schreiner Group. 'Joining the UN Global Compact underlines our ambition to assume responsibility for people, the environment and society.'

The family-owned company has already implemented actions in environmental and climate protection, with membership in the Network Germany providing access to companies and institutions working on sustainable approaches.

'We have already implemented many effective actions in the area of environmental and climate protection, but we are striving for more,' Dr Thomas Gulden, head of environmental and occupational safety at Schreiner Group, explained. 'Because only together, in exchange with other companies, academia and civil society, can we bring about true change and make our world fit for the future.'

The company is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and has received multiple recognitions for its commitment to sustainability and transparency.
