CELAB launches recycler map

An interactive map helps users find recyclers for linear waste.

CELAB Europe, the European association for the circular economy of self-adhesive labels, has relaunched its website with an interactive map of recyclers that handle release liner and label waste, so label users can find recycling options close to their location.

The map is intended as a practical starting point for brands and label users looking for local recycling partners and ways to divert valuable materials from disposal. For converters, material suppliers, recyclers and other stakeholders, the site also gathers information on CELAB Europe's activities and its collective work on the circularity of self-adhesive label materials. It includes an FAQ answering the most common questions on label and matrix waste recycling, and makes the association's mission, initiatives and resources easier to find.

'Finding the right recycling option is an important step towards a more circular label industry. Our interactive map helps label users identify potential recycling partners close to them, while our relaunched website strengthens awareness, knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the value chain,' CELAB Europe said in a statement.

CELAB, short for Circular Economy for Labels, is an industry-led initiative that brings together stakeholders from across the self-adhesive label value chain to encourage collaboration and support better recycling and recovery of release liner and label waste in Europe.
