Inx releases sustainability report
The 2025 report highlights progress across product innovation, operational performance, climate action and more.
Inx International Ink has released its 2025 Sustainability Report. It highlights progress across strategic sustainability areas for product innovation, operational performance, climate action, circularity and responsible business practices.
The report provides transparency into Inx’s sustainability performance and long-term priorities. This includes how the company measures its progress and manages the environmental and social impacts across operations and the value chain.
'Inx is uniquely positioned to help advance sustainability across the print and packaging industry, with technologies that support a broad range of packaging applications,' said Bryce Kristo, president and CEO of Inx International.
'By combining ink and coating science with manufacturing expertise and close customer collaboration, we are developing practical solutions that advance circularity, safer chemistry and more efficient production without compromising the performance our customers require.'
Product innovation remains an important part of Inx’s sustainability strategy. The report highlights technologies including washable inks that support recycling and de-inking, barrier coatings that help address packaging performance and resource efficiency, low-VOC and water-based technologies, and naturally derived products.
These technologies support customers as they respond to evolving sustainability and packaging requirements, and maintain the performance required for commercial production.
The 2025 Sustainability Report also highlights measurable progress across several areas. For example, the Homewood, Illinois, solar farm generated 179.84 megawatt hours of renewable electricity, reducing the facility’s reliance on power from the grid. Inx's Renewable Energy Certificates represent 21,887 megawatt hours of electricity supporting Inx’s broader renewable electricity strategy. Across the Americas, 72.6 percent of operational waste was directed away from landfill through reuse, recycling and both material and energy recovery. An EcoVadis Silver rating placed Inx among the top 15 percent of assessed companies, and a Great Place to Work certification reflected positive feedback from 78 percent of participating US employees.
'Meaningful sustainability progress requires clear goals, reliable data and accountability,' said Peter Paul Obijaju, director of ESG at Inx International. 'The progress reflected in this report demonstrates our continued commitment to measurable improvement and greater transparency.'
Inx reported additional progress in other areas of its sustainability strategy. In 2025, the company used operational AI to improve production planning and streamline manufacturing, enabling selected operations to reduce production schedules from seven days to five while maintaining output. This reduced energy demand and improved equipment utilization.
Inx also increased the use of carbon emissions data obtained directly from raw material suppliers to 17 percent, exceeding its 15 percent target, and reported 4,489.20 cubic meters of recycled or reused water. Selected sustainability performance indicators received independent third-party assurance.
