Concordia Labels has welcomed Digi-Paq from Belgium as its newest member during the alliance's recent Annual Summer Board Meeting, held at the Belgian company's headquarters.
The European alliance of independently owned self-adhesive label specialists formally inducted Digi-Paq into what it describes as the Concordia Labels family. The addition represents Concordia's strategic expansion across Europe as the organization grows in strength and depth through knowledge sharing and mutual support.
Concordia actively seeks new members from across Europe, particularly in countries where the alliance lacks representation. As the group looks to expand its continental footprint, target markets include Germany, France, Poland and Portugal.
The alliance operates as an independent, non-competitive membership group of label converters united by core values of integrity, innovation and collaboration. Members gain access to shared knowledge through specialist committees, financial and operational benchmarking, collaborative supplier agreements and additional production capabilities within a trusted network of industry experts.
A key membership benefit includes access to Concordia's raw material buying group, which leverages collective purchasing power for cost advantages. The alliance maintains specific criteria for potential members to ensure alignment with its operational standards and collaborative approach.
Candidate companies must uphold high professional standards, demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English, and show willingness to host member visits and tours to strengthen working relationships. Financial requirements include annual turnover exceeding 10 million EUR, while operational commitments involve offering production capacity and support to fellow members when needed.
'We are delighted to welcome Digi-Paq as the newest member of the Concordia Labels family, as they bring fresh capabilities, strong values and a proven commitment to excellence to the group,' said Dr Adrian Steele, current board chairman. 'Our aim is to further develop the skills, capabilities and growth of the label industry across Europe as we look to soon welcome our next new members, who we hope will bring the benefits of the Concordia family to more countries across the continent.'
Current members include Arca in Italy, Auraprint in Finland, Carini in Austria, Eshuis in the Netherlands, Mercian Labels in the UK, IPE in Spain and Digi-Paq in Belgium. Interested companies that align with Concordia’s vision and membership criteria are invited to contact Dr Steele via e-mail (adrian.steele@mercianlabels.com) for more information.
