Phoenix Challenge launches virtual campus
New online platform offers self-paced flexographic printing curriculum for students.
The Phoenix Challenge Foundation has launched the Howard B. Vreeland Sr. Virtual Campus, an online learning platform providing structured, self-paced flexographic printing education for students exploring careers in graphic communications, manufacturing, packaging and print production.
The learning management system covers the core principles of flexographic printing and introduces key industry concepts and terminology. It is designed to complement existing graphic arts and technical education programs, functioning as a standalone resource or alongside hands-on laboratory instruction.
The platform was made possible through the support of Howard B. Vreeland Jr., chairman of Anderson & Vreeland, and is named in honor of his father, Howard B. Vreeland Sr., who is recognized for his contributions to flexographic education and workforce development.
'This learning management system gives anyone with curiosity about flexography a clear, credentialed path to building real-world skills,' said Joe Tuccitto, board member of the Phoenix Challenge Foundation.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based foundation has operated workforce development programs for nearly 30 years, with alumni working across press operations, pre-press, technical support, quality, sales and leadership roles in the printing and packaging industry.
