Screen prepares for Labelexpo Europe 2025

The company will demonstrate the full capabilities of its digital inkjet technology with non-stop label printing throughout the four-day exhibition.

Screen has confirmed its participation at Labelexpo Europe 2025 from 16–19 September in Barcelona. The company will demonstrate how its latest digital inkjet printers can meet evolving market and consumer demand for high-quality prints, shorter job lengths and the need to balance profitability with sustainability throughout the label production workflow to drive the next wave of growth in a rapidly evolving sector.

The centrepiece of Screen's stand will be the Truepress Label 350UV SAI S UV inkjet label—the 'workhorse' digital printing machine with efficient daily operation, advanced automation features supporting complete end-to-end workflow integrations, backed by industry-leading press uptimes exceeding 80 percent.

Carlo Sammarco, business development director, labels and packaging at Screen Europe, commented: 'At Screen, we focus on printing solutions that don’t just deliver high quality—they deliver those same high-quality results, reliably and consistently shift after shift. Labelexpo 2025 allows us to demonstrate how high-efficiency label printing is, where label converters can make improvements to their business’s bottom line, and high efficiency is where Truepress Label printers excel.'

The Truepress Label 350UV SA S digital press will be printing continuously throughout all four days of Labelexpo 2025 to demonstrate Screen's Japanese-precision engineering. Anytime a guest visits the Screen stand, they can expect to see this digital label press running consistently with a variety of label applications and substrates, printing hundreds of metres of labels in real time.

In addition to this live performance, visitors will be able to explore how daily print production can be further optimized with 'lights-out' automation streamlining everything, from file preparation to the finished product. The new Truepress Digital Primer for improved durability and embellishment doesn't require additional equipment.

As the label market continues to mature and competition intensifies, converters are increasingly exploring flexible packaging as an opportunity to diversify their offerings. With brand owners seeking more sustainable alternatives, and paper packaging gaining favor for its recyclability and consumer appeal, this segment is growing rapidly. Screen will showcase the latest innovations in flexible packaging, offering digitally printed samples and expert guidance on how converters can enter this high-potential space with minimal risk and maximum efficiency.

For many label converters, moving into flexible packaging can seem daunting, but Screen is applying its long history and expertise in digital inkjet to this exciting, growing market with the Truepress PAC 520P, which will be presented at Labelexpo, producing finishing-ready reels for paper packaging and Truepress PAC 830F for plastic flexible packaging films.

With water-based inks compliant with European food and safety regulations and guidelines ensuring a high level of consumer safety, these options support a transition or addition of flexible packaging production that is accessible, scalable, and profitable, from roll to finished reel. Label printers can now diversify their offerings and capture new business in fast-growing, sustainable packaging markets.
