Flint Group invests in Kentucky facility

750,000 USD upgrade establishes Elizabethtown as Americas manufacturing hub.

Flint Group Web Offset has invested 750,000 USD in varnish manufacturing capabilities at its Elizabethtown, Kentucky facility, establishing the site as the operational hub for its North American, Latin American and Caribbean ink manufacturing operations.

The Elizabethtown plant, formerly focused on pigment and colorant production, has been fully aligned with Flint Group's Web Offset business and is now supporting the development of ink systems in line with the company's European heatset portfolio, including establishing the 5600 series as a core product range.

Alongside the manufacturing investment, Flint Group Web Offset has expanded and restructured its commercial team to deliver a more technically led approach for customers across the Americas.

'What was once primarily a pigment manufacturing site is now the heartbeat of our operations across the Americas, enabling us to deliver high-performance ink solutions to our customers with speed and consistency,' said David Fotheringham, vice president of sales and service for global web offset at Flint Group. 'With our enhanced manufacturing capabilities, expanded technical sales team and strategic location in Kentucky, we are ideally positioned to serve customers across the Americas quickly and cost-effectively.'
