Siegwerk deepens Revere partnership
Ink switch boosts press efficiency and sustainability for food packaging printer.

Siegwerk has strengthened its long-standing partnership with US-based premium food packaging manufacturer The Revere Group by helping the company transition to its low-migration Sicura Nutriflex Orbis DC ink system, enabling faster press speeds, improved uptime and consistent expanded color gamut (ECG) printing.
The Revere Group, a fourth-generation, family-owned company based in Seattle, Washington, uses advanced ECG printing to reproduce more than 90 percent of Pantone colors accurately with seven inks instead of four, minimizing the need for clean-ups between print jobs. Siegwerk supported the company in precisely matching its seven-color ink set, ensuring seamless continuity on press.
'The switch to Siegwerk's low-migration inks has definitely paid off for us,' said Mark Revere, co-president at The Revere Group. 'They run faster and more cleanly on our press, improve uptime and reduce waste, an important factor when it comes to our sustainability.'
The Sicura Nutriflex Orbis DC inks can be cured with both UV and LED lamps, providing operational flexibility. The collaboration has also opened new opportunities in sustainable packaging, with The Revere Group expanding its capabilities through the use of special primers for compostable applications and recyclable mono-material structures.
'Our work with The Revere Group demonstrates how a strong partnership, technical expertise and consistent ink performance can drive efficiency and sustainability in packaging,' commented Mike Hoft, west regional sales manager at Siegwerk CUSA.
The relationship between the two companies dates back to 1989, when The Revere Group started using Siegwerk's water-based inks. 'We really love working with the team at Siegwerk,' noted Sally Revere, co-president at The Revere Group. 'They share the same curiosity and technical passion, helping us to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality, food-safe packaging to our clients.'
