Excelitas launches enhanced OmniCure AC Series
New AC8+, AC9+ and AC8+HD platforms deliver up to 15 W/sqcm irradiance with 60 percent energy savings.
Excelitas has launched an enhanced OmniCure AC Series UV LED curing platform, comprising three systems that target adhesive, coating and ink curing in demanding manufacturing environments, including label and packaging production.
The AC8+ delivers 10 W/sqcm irradiance, the AC9+ delivers 14 W/sqcm for higher throughput applications and the AC8+HD delivers 15 W/sqcm peak irradiance for maximum UV energy output and faster production speeds. New 365 nm wavelength options are available on the AC9+ and AC8+HD systems, expanding substrate and application compatibility. All three systems consume up to 60 percent less energy than conventional mercury-based curing technologies and eliminate mercury-containing lamps and ozone generation.
A key feature across the range is Excelitas' LED module-level control technology, which enables real-time uniformity optimization during operation without taking the system off-line, maintaining better than plus or minus 5 percent uniformity across the curing area. Multiple UV LED heads can be combined for larger curing widths while maintaining output uniformity. The systems use a compact, air-cooled design with high-efficiency VOC air intake filters for industrial-grade reliability.
'Manufacturers are seeking curing solutions that deliver greater productivity, lower operating costs, and long-term reliability while supporting evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements,' said Peter Cop, director of product management at Excelitas. 'The new AC Series addresses these needs with industry-leading performance, intelligent process control, and flexible integration capabilities.'
