Meech appoints director in Southeast Asia

Meech Static Eliminators has appointed Melvyn Chan as its new sales and operations director in Southeast Asia, to drive sales and manage operations across the region.

The appointment of Chan follows Meech opening a regional sales office in Singapore to provide local support to its distributors and increase sales in Southeast Asia.

Chan has spent more than 12 years working for a local distributor and has extensive knowledge of the plastics, packaging, print and converting industries, among others.

Meech CEO Chris Francis said: ‘His knowledge of Meech’s products and the markets in this region will prove invaluable as he takes on this new role. After many years supporting us as an accomplished distributor throughout Malaysia and Singapore, we’re delighted to welcome him to the team and I’m sure he will help deliver profitable and successful results.’

Chan said: ‘It is a great pleasure to be taking on the role of sales and operations director for Meech Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a company that continues to expand into new sectors across the globe. Southeast Asia is an emerging market in a developing part of the world, which means that a strategically located office will facilitate Meech to deliver technologies and product ranges that are sought after in the region.’
