Michelman has introduced three strategic business groups, Coatings, Industrial Manufacturing and Printing & Packaging, as part of a move to better anticipate and serve its customers’ needs by driving collaboration between its experienced industry focused business teams.

Dr Gautham Parthasarathy has been hired as Coatings group director, and joins Michelman from Emerald Performance Materials, where he was vice-president and general manager of the K-Flex specialty plasticizers business.  He has previously held leadership roles with responsibilities for strategic development, marketing, business development, mergers and acquisitions, research and development, and operations.

To lead the Industrial Manufacturing, Michael Annis has been hired as group director. Annis was most recently with Celanese Engineered Materials, where he held the position of global OEM manager and North America business development manager in company’s electronics business unit.  He has previous experience in research and development, operations, sales, marketing and quality functions. 

Dr Rick Michelman, Michelman’s chief technology officer, has assumed the role of group director in the Printing & Packaging group on an interim basis.

All three strategic groups are also supported regionally around the world by enhanced management teams led by: Jean-Marc Verhaeghe, EMEA vice-president and managing director; Steven Wong, Asia-Pacific vice-president and managing director; and Marty Riehemann, who is to assume the new role of Americas vice-president and managing director, in addition to his corporate role as chief commercial officer.
