Mocon appoints global sales and marketing leader

Maurice Janssen has joined Mocon as its senior vice president of global sales and marketing, leading the company’s global sales and marketing teams across all of its operating segments.

Maurice Janssen brings more than 20 years of worldwide sales and marketing experience to Mocon, including analytical instruments and process control options for food and beverage products

Mocon is a provider of detectors, instruments, systems and consulting services to research laboratories, production facilities, and quality control and safety departments in the medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, packaging, environmental, oil and gas and other industries worldwide. It recently launched the Ox-Tran 2/12 oxygen permeation instrument, as reported here, to provide produce marketers and their material suppliers with oxygen permeation data quickly and more easily to assist in meeting shelf-life goals.

Janssen brings more than 20 years of worldwide sales and marketing experience including analytical instruments and process control options for food and beverage products. He will report to Robert Demorest, president and CEO of Mocon, who said: ‘Maurice’s multinational background and professional experience, in addition to his familiarity with our industry, are just a few reasons why he is ideally suited to lead our company’s growth initiatives. Prior to joining Mocon, Janssen was vice president of sales and marketing in Latin America at Foss Ana, a Denmark-based supplier of analytical instruments for the food, beverage and agriculture sectors. He also served in leadership positions at One Earth Future Foundation, GEA Grasso International and Marel Food Systems Benelux (formerly Scanvaegt Benelux).
