PCMC receives 2020 FTA technical innovation award

Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) was a recipient of the 2020 FTA Technical Innovation Award for the second year in a row. Recognizing PCMC’s recently introduced Meridian Elite laser anilox cleaner, the award was presented during virtual forum 2020.

The Meridian Elite holds a patent for its laser technology, which eliminates hot spots and offers rapid cleaning cycles. Additionally, the Meridian Elite uses a cloud-based database. After a roll is cleaned, the information is logged into the roll inventory database and can be accessed locally or in the cloud via an interactive roll reporting dashboard.

For more than 20 years, the FTA Technical Innovation Award has recognized the most innovative technologies of the package printing and converting industry. Recipients of this award include innovative technologies that use the flexographic process or have been designed specifically to enhance flexo printing.
